Hold the handle of the toner cartridge and slightly push it to unlock. ![]() Holding the blue handles of the drum unit, lift the front of the drum unit and remove it from the machine.īrother recommends that you place the drum unit and/or toner cartridges on a clean, flat surface with a piece of disposable paper underneath it in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner.ĭ. Turn the blue lock lever at the left of the machine counterclockwise to the release position. Press the front cover release button and then open the front cover.ī. This cartridge will need to be replaced to resolve the issue.Ī. If there are color dots on the printouts, the issue is being caused by the color toner cartridge leaving dots or marks on the page. If there are no dots on the printouts, go to step 4. For yellow dots, switch yellow and black toner. For cyan or blue dots, switch cyan and black toner.Ĭ.
